LICENSED MASTER SOCIAL WORKER

Harley Damarputra, LMSW

I approach therapy with the belief that people heal best when they feel truly seen and respected. My role is to offer a grounded, attentive space where you can talk openly about what you’re carrying—whether it’s anxiety, stress, past experiences, or the feeling that something in life isn’t aligning the way you hoped. I work collaboratively, helping you build clarity and skills while also honoring the pace that feels right for you. My style is steady, warm, and practical, drawing from CBT, ACT, and narrative approaches to support meaningful changes both inside and outside of the therapeutic space.

My identity and background play a meaningful role in how I understand the therapeutic process. As an immigrant, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and a disabled veteran, I’ve spent much of my live moving between cultures, expectations, and environments. These experiences provided me with a deep appreciation of how identity, belonging, and resilience shape mental health. They also taught me that people don’t just struggle in isolation—our challenges are influenced by family, culture, and the systems around us. I bring this awareness into every session, meeting you with cultural humility and curiosity.

Outside of my clinical work, I’m someone who finds inspiration through movement, creativity, and exploring new places. I enjoy traveling, connecting with different cultures, and discovering experiences that expand my perspective. You’ll often find me at the gym, taking photographs, or simply exploring the rhythm of a new neighborhood. These parts of my life remind me of the value of balance and staying connected to what feels meaningful.

Therapy is a place to slow down, make sense of your experience e, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and grounded. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever comes next and support you in creating the changes you’re ready for.
